How can we best act against poverty using video as a tool?

I believe that the fundamental utilities of video to tackle poverty, are to raise awareness, provide information, and empower the oppressed.

By creating engaging, affecting and informative videos and documentaries, film makers are able to reach a wide, and often influential, audience. This process allows the underlying message of the film (global youth poverty) to be considered and acted upon by an wide network of groups and individuals.

Furthermore, documentaries can give a voice to those who are not normally able to be heard. In this way, the creation of a film can empower and educate individuals who encapsulate the subject in question.

Ultimately, I think we can use our video as an extremely effective tool to ct against poverty, by ensuring that it captures the hearts and minds of its audience, and provides them with enough solid information to do something about it!
